Subject: Jeff Warner gig tomorrow 14/06/11 From: GUEST,Ella Date: 13 Jun 11 - 05:23 AM Short notice, I know, but perhaps some Edinburgh mudcatters might be interested! Jeff Warner, great American folksinger, performing at the Canons' Gait, 232 Canongate, at 7.30pm tomorrow night (doors at 7; £5 or £3.50 concessions). Jeff's songs come from lumber camps, fishing villages and mountain tops, collected from rural Americans by his parents, and his warm, rich performances have rightly won widespread acclaim. He'll be supported by Edinburgh's own Lucy Pringle and Chris Wright, whose sensitive and beautiful arrangements of traditional Scottish sings won them a prestigious Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections 2009. A lovely evening of Transatlantic and Scottish songs! |
