There's no way to edit your own posts, but one of the moderators can do it by request. We're used to checking following posts for link corrections, here. (I've contributed many.) It's a messy place, but friendly.

If you join Mudcat you'll be able to send and receive private messages and won't have to remember to fill in your name. (It's free, there are a couple more functions membership offers, and there's not much more than that to it.) If you don't join, pick a consistent moniker anyway -- can be your own name; anonymous Guest postings are discouraged.

well, i am a somewhat new convert to singing

and am also failry new to old time

plus, fiddlers/mando players tend to lead the jams i attend

but will be on the lookout for old time singing songs

thanks for the good words

also, is there a way for me to change the faulty link in the original message?

I enjoyed this and will be following your book's progress.

I find it surprising that, being a singer yourself, you seem to have previously missed out on the singing side of old time music. Are you relatively new to it? Certainly the all-tunes-all-the-time folks are in the majority, and if a fiddler leads you in to the mob you may never find your way out. :-) If you stay in touch with Mudcat you can be pointed to more of the old-time singing life.

Interesting piece, Dave.

Your 2nd link doesn't work - should be:
