I shall be spending from now until August 12th in a flotation tank.. :-)

BTW, if anyone's at a loose end, we're playing at the delightful Bingham Folk Club tonight.

Another 'current' rather than 'post' note and following on from my previous message - the Bothy FSC (www.bothyfolkclub.co.uk) re-match has been arranged for 12th August. Same place, same time, same enthusiastic audience! Don't go messing up that tendon again Chris!

I had never seen Isambarde until recently and the loss was mine. They were fantastic and it is a great shame that they are not continuing. I shall keep an eye open for their next projects. Their talents should not go to waste.

you weren't bad enough to go on 'Britans got talent'
It's annoying when talentless cra$ like Jedward 'make' it and talent doesn't get a look-in

Good luck Emms Chris and jude....

Just a note to this thread which I hope is an appropriate place to post, to say that tonight's gig at Southport's Bothy Folksong Club has had to be cancelled as a result of an injury to Chris' trapezium tendon, which affects his guitar playing somewhat dramatically! Get well soon Chris and we'll be looking to reschedule when this is practical - hopefully in the near future.

I suppose instead of coming to Bingham for my personal enjoyment, I'll be more like duty bound now! ;-)

Just kidding, all being well I'll see y'all on July 1st!

Thank you for the 2 gigs that you have done for us, great both times & wonderful feedback from the "closet & non folkies" that saw you on Sat. @ folkforms. Don't lose touch with ffms or White Horse Folk Festival, good luck in your new ventures, you are all people that I am proud to know.

Jack - we're playing in Kirkaldy on September 1st. Other than that we've never done anything else in Scotland, unfortunately.

Subject: End of Isambarde
From: Chris Green
Date: 14 Jun 11 - 09:50 AM

Hi all

As you may or may not have heard, Isambarde have decided to call it a day after eight highly enjoyable years. We'll be finishing with a bang on October 1st at Lawrence Sheriff School in Rugby (organised by the lovely Richard Barnes from Rugby Roots) It'd be great to see loads of people there to help us celebrate the end of an era!

Post-Isambarde, we're all still keeping busy. The girls are in talks with a number of people (whose identities I am duty-bound to keep quiet at the moment) about setting up a new project of their own and I'll be embarking on a solo tour in February of next year.

Myself and Jude are also touring in a Victorian Christmas show over December with acclaimed storyteller Andy Jennings and noted early-music specialist Sophie Matthews.

Sophie, Jude and myself are also putting together a new outfit aimed at playing more instrumental and dance music called Swing 'Em Fair, featuring a variety of early instruments such as rauschpfeife, mediaeval English pipes, shawms and recorders.

So all in all, we're keeping busy and there's a fair few gigs to go before the last one on October 1st. Have a look at our solo tour and see if there's one near you!

All the best

Chris
