Subject: Obit: Kathryn Tucker Windham From: Bettynh Date: 15 Jun 11 - 08:11 PM Kathryn Tucker Windham died Monday at the age of 93. Although she didn't sing, she certainly was the keeper of the folklore of her home place in Alabama. We'll miss her at the National Storytelling Festival. She taught my kids to count buzzards (follow the link at the NPR site), and made ghosts benign for them. |
