John -- just (finally!) had a chance to see it -- nice job! some really cute images, and the timing of the images & the music is really good. I also really like the way the images pixelate during the transition from one image to another -- very appropriate!

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you before, but have been offline for almost a week due to: flying to the US, a missed flight/extra day in Amsterdam (due to an airport Security "alert"), tracking down missing baggage, jet lag and a family gathering...

Am staying with my folks at the moment & just showed it to my dad, who really enjoyed it.

I see it's had 79 views (mostly fellow 'catters, I suspect) so far; I guess we'll see how it fares (it's unlikely to "go viral" at this point, but it prolly wasn't ever going to, anyway... maybe if it had occurred to me when the Weiner story first broke -- instead of on the day he resigned -- the timing would have been better). I'll definitely send the URL to some friends, though.

Again, thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to put this together for me and for Mudcat -- it was extremely good of you!

whb and I have been e-mailing one another (no, not like that, so please wipe those lewd grins off your faces right now!), and there is some concern that what with all the Twitter & FaceBook controversy at the moment, a YouTube clip like that might attract a lawsuit.

It seems someone has already done something similar (sort of); check out Anthony Wiener Funny or Die Exclusive Music Video "Bye, Bye Capitol Hill!" (it's dreadful, but that's really beside the point) and (to a lesser extent) http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/06/16/weiner-jokes-obituary_n_878256.html, but would we be tempting fate?

Perhaps Richard Bridge could advise us...

Interestingly, I wrote e-mail He-male in 1995. A few years later, I met the man who is now my husband -- online (much to my surprise). Thus did life imitate art imitating life, and I ended up moving to Sheffield (from the Detroit area).

Hi Folks,

As I was reviewing the info for my track on the Mudcat Sampler today, it suddenly hit me that the song what I wrote back in 1995 is newly topical,
what with that nice Mr Weiner getting himself into so much trouble recently (and stepping down today).

The song is called "e-mail He-mail", and is a 12-bar-blues about a rather racy e-relationship.

I was thinking that there might be radio stations/programmes (in the US & maybe even in the UK) where there would be a possibility of airplay.
Who knows, it might even result in additional interest in the Mudcat Sampler...

If anyone has radio contacts and/or other useful suggestions, I am all ears...
