Yes, I have just heard same from a friend on Facebook: sad news. Hope someone who knew him better will start an obit thread in due course.

Its with regret that this not now possible as Phil has recently passed away no details as yet. He was a great and proliric lyricist who created a large volume of work, a very nice singer and was always good company. I know he will be geatly missed by all who knew.

I know that June sady dies a few years ago, I am not sure about Phil. Last I heard he was living in the Leek area.
