Hi Davey--

My dad just joined d'cat, and he's a harp player too. His name is Mert, and he lurks more than he posts. I hope the two of you meet up on here.

Welcome "home!" It's a tad muddy, but mudcats seem to like it that way!

V

Davey:

Hi and Welcome. I've only been here since June, and I've met a lot of really nice people.

You can use the SAME ID from home and office. I do. Just give your ID and password and reset your cookie once on each computer, and you will be fine.

Hiyo Davey, welcome aboard.

Kat, that little one inch one? is that the one you play when you meet Spaw 'in the diminutive'?

Aw shucks, I'm red in the face... Thanks for your very kind comments, Rick, and any time I've had a chance to play along with you has been both educational and a hoot. I'm enjoying being here and will post more as time allows (I'm doing this from work). If you see posts from Davey2, that will be me from my home PC... Nice bunch of people here...

Well, any friend of Rick's is a friend of Rick's! No! Seriously, if Rick is vouching for you, you MUST be good. Welcome, Davey! I've already noticed some of your postings, so I woulda welcomed you with or without Rick. I like Welcome Wagonning, too!

I can't help it. When a new Mudcatter appears, I turn into a folky "welcome wagon". So shoot me.

Gotta tell ya though, I've known Davey for a few years, and he's one of the nicest people I've met in the "folk family". But....But...this is why I'm waxing enthusiastically about him - cause there are lots of really nice people on Mudcat. Davey is a SUPERB harmonica player, in a style I rarely hear much anymore. Melodic, harmonic, and tasteful to a fault. He does what I value more than anything in an accompanist, he LISTENS and THEN plays. The Jazz folks call it having "big ears". Welcome Davey, hope I haven't embarrassed you too much.

Rick
