Thanks, for the link, DD. Eb, I knew mudcatters would help! Everyone should have someone to play music with! Thanks for getting the info to Mike!

Thanks, Desert Dancer. I went to the Folklore site and found LOTS of possibilities. I've printed it off and will give it to Mike forthwith.

RangerRoger lives up in Coeur d'Alene....or at least he did. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to come to mudcat much anymore.

The Spokane Folklore Society is probably a good place to start!

I have a friend (formerly from Flagstaff, AZ) who's up in Coeur d'Alene. She plays tunes with some folks over there (contra dance and Scottish). I'll point her toward this thread, too.

I had the pleasure of playing some tunes last night with Ebbie, and another musician, who now lives in Spokane. He said he's not playing much these days, (not for lack of ability or desire), but because he's not acquainted with folk musicians in the Spokane area. Any Spokane Mudcatters out there who can offer some thoughts on song circles, jam sessions etc, in the area where a newcomer would be welcome?
Thanks so much!
KT
