Subject: Review: San Francisco morris From: Miss Piggy Date: 01 Jul 11 - 04:38 PM Just a note of thanks to Martin( the Englishman)and the Morris side who danced for us in the square in San Francisco in June. My American friends were so delighted that you were kind enough to perform an unscheduled dance especially for them and the memory will stay with them as a part of a memorable holiday. |
Subject: RE: Review: San Francisco morris From: ClaireBear Date: 01 Jul 11 - 06:29 PM What was their kit? We have several sides, and I'd be happy to pass on your message to the correct one, but first I'll have to be able to determine who they are. |
Subject: RE: San Francisco morris From: Miss Piggy Date: 02 Jul 11 - 02:50 AM Thanks for your prompt response. I haven't got my pictures handy at the moment but I will send a description as soon as I can. |

Subject: RE: San Francisco morris From: ClaireBear Date: 21 Jul 11 - 05:04 PM My apologies for taking so long to see your reply! Berkeley Morris, of whom Martin Harris is a great friend, wear red and black waistcoats; black stockings, shoes, and hats; and white breeches and shirts. Last I saw them (on May Morning), ribbon colors were a personal choice so that's the only element that doesn't quite fit. So, does this look like the right team? If so, there's a "contact us" link on the team page that you can use if you would like to thank them yourself, or I would be happy, as before, to pass on your thanks. I'm a long-retired member myself, but happily a current member lives next door. |
Subject: RE: San Francisco morris From: ClaireBear Date: 21 Jul 11 - 05:15 PM Just in case you don't see this for as long as I didn't see it, to avoid further delay I forwarded your message to two friends on Berkeley Morris. I'm fairly confident that is the right side. I am sure they will appreciate your kind thought. Claire |
