Subject: Tom Paxton in Maine From: kendall Date: 03 Jul 11 - 02:28 PM I don't know how many Mudcatters this will reach, but just want to announce that Tom Paxton will be appearing in Harrison Maine at the Deertrees theater this coming Saturday. |

Subject: RE: Tom Paxton in Maine From: SINSULL Date: 03 Jul 11 - 02:56 PM That is the same night as Tony Rice's House Concert. ARGHHHH! Feast or famine. |

Subject: RE: Tom Paxton in Maine From: Nancy King Date: 03 Jul 11 - 04:08 PM I saw the publicity for this when I was in Sebago, and I'd be in Harrison in a heartbeat if I were still in the area. Deertrees is a very nice venue, and Paxton is still a terrific performer. Sigh. Timing is everything... |
Subject: RE: Tom Paxton in Maine From: kendall Date: 03 Jul 11 - 07:17 PM He told me I'd better show up there, so guess I'd better plan on it. |
Subject: RE: Tom Paxton in Maine From: banjoman Date: 04 Jul 11 - 11:28 AM Never miss an opportunity to see Tom Paxton - probably the best singer songwriter for ???? how long. Saw his last tour in UK and he was a great as ever. |
Subject: RE: Tom Paxton in Maine From: jacqui.c Date: 04 Jul 11 - 07:30 PM We've got to go to let him hold the Grammy medal, anyway. |
Subject: RE: Tom Paxton in Maine From: kendall Date: 04 Jul 11 - 07:31 PM The man is so versatile. So many singer/songwriters tend to have a samy quality in their work, but Tom writes about many things. From Lorena Bobbett to On the road from Srebrenica is quite a stretch. Am I biased? yes. |
Subject: RE: Tom Paxton in Maine From: ChanteyLass Date: 05 Jul 11 - 12:34 AM Sounds like a great weekend to be in Maine to hear Tom Paxton and Tony Bird, two wonderful but very different performers. I wish I could be there. |
Subject: RE: Tom Paxton in Maine From: SINSULL Date: 05 Jul 11 - 09:18 AM Tinky Winky must be gay I heard Jerry Falwell say... |
Subject: RE: Tom Paxton in Maine From: kendall Date: 10 Jul 11 - 12:52 PM We went to see my old pal, Tom, last night and I have to say, the kid has not lost anything! He and Jeff did a smashing performance. Among his many talents is his ability to be very funny and not crack a smile. If he could manage the accent he would make a damn good Maine humorist. (Not that he needs to of course) |
Subject: RE: Tom Paxton in Maine From: Charley Noble Date: 10 Jul 11 - 03:04 PM Kendall- Good to hear that everything went well. Charley Noble |
Subject: RE: Tom Paxton in Maine From: Sandy Mc Lean Date: 10 Jul 11 - 11:07 PM Next to Pete Seeger the American folksinger that I would most like to see perform is Paxton. Perhaps someday yet I will see him! |
Subject: RE: Tom Paxton in Maine From: stallion Date: 11 Jul 11 - 11:05 PM got me singing, owe a great debt of gratitude for the fun and friendships I have got from it |
Subject: RE: Tom Paxton in Maine From: kendall Date: 12 Jul 11 - 09:27 AM Tom proves the old saying, "The bigger they are, the nicer they are." |
Subject: RE: Tom Paxton in Maine From: stallion Date: 13 Jul 11 - 04:47 AM Kendal are you being lewd?! |
Subject: RE: Tom Paxton in Maine From: kendall Date: 13 Jul 11 - 05:53 AM Who me? Never. |
