I don't know how many Mudcatters this will reach, but just want to announce that Tom Paxton will be appearing in Harrison Maine at the Deertrees theater this coming Saturday.

That is the same night as Tony Rice's House Concert.
ARGHHHH!
Feast or famine.

I saw the publicity for this when I was in Sebago, and I'd be in Harrison in a heartbeat if I were still in the area. Deertrees is a very nice venue, and Paxton is still a terrific performer. Sigh. Timing is everything...

He told me I'd better show up there, so guess I'd better plan on it.

Never miss an opportunity to see Tom Paxton - probably the best singer songwriter for ???? how long. Saw his last tour in UK and he was a great as ever.

We've got to go to let him hold the Grammy medal, anyway.

The man is so versatile. So many singer/songwriters tend to have a samy quality in their work, but Tom writes about many things.
From Lorena Bobbett to On the road from Srebrenica is quite a stretch.
Am I biased? yes.

Sounds like a great weekend to be in Maine to hear Tom Paxton and Tony Bird, two wonderful but very different performers. I wish I could be there.

We went to see my old pal, Tom, last night and I have to say, the kid has not lost anything! He and Jeff did a smashing performance.
Among his many talents is his ability to be very funny and not crack a smile. If he could manage the accent he would make a damn good Maine humorist. (Not that he needs to of course)

Good to hear that everything went well.

Next to Pete Seeger the American folksinger that I would most like to see perform is Paxton. Perhaps someday yet I will see him!
