Wish there was more information, but I have seen wonders worked on Mudcat with much less. Anyone recognize this song. It was labeled St. Regious Maiden which I fairly certain is incorrect. Sounds as though it might be from Australia since the word station is used upon occasion.

Here is what I have:

Up before dawn, ride to the morning
Straddle your saddle and ...(could not make this out)

Is this the one?

Actually, that's a Carter Family song and it looks different to me.

I was given a file with two songs by a local singer. As it turned out neither song was sung by the supposed singer and the other song was supposed to be Roll

Along Kentucky Moon which it wasn't. So I assume the song which I am looking for is not St. Regis Girl or St. Regis Maiden either. The singer called it a cowboy song but did not name it. Some nice yodeling and the song was well done. Thanks to everyone for their interest and help. Robyn thanks for the link to the St. Regis thread. I did know that the St. Regis Girl was linked to the Carters and Red River Valley, but that is all.
