Oh sorry forgot to mention I am using quite a lot of the Mark Wood violin chord techniques from his book Electrify Your Strings.

First of all apologies if this is in the wrong area or has already been discussed at length (if so I can't see it).

Right now on to the interesting bit....

I would love to know how other fiddlers are playing backings behind vocals etc. You could call this comping, rhythm playing.

I am sure there are many better ways but I am generally playing basic chords with a staccato pattern perhaps with the odd longer arco note or run thrown in. I am also playing the Darol Anger and Casey Driesen style chop (pretty badly but I try!)

What sort of chord patterns are you guys playing? Any input would be great. Thanks in advance.
