Saw these two with Dogan and The Deerhunters at FatE last weekend - superb musicians (really liked the quartet line-up over the 7-piece I saw last time - even though m'colleague Phil Wilcox was sitting in).

The New Slide sounds terrific, of course - and not to be confused with The OLD Slide or The IRISH Slide

Tom

Yes, Tom, thanks for this and I would have to agree about the 4 piece Deerhunters. Of course, Tom, Matt & Dogan has known each other some while. They used to come up to the Royal Oak each week as 14 year-olds and sing the likes of Sovay and Lucy Wan accompanied by punk-thrash mandolin, cello and wild Turkish fiddle. It was extraordinary!
