Remember somewhere, our union's sewing, our wages going, To feed the kids and run the house. We work hard, but who's complaining, Thanks to the I.L.G. we're paying our way. So, always look for the union label, It says we're able to make it in the U.S.A. JRO Click to playABC format: X:1

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Union Label From: Joe Offer Date: 23 Sep 99 - 10:37 PM But you can add some background information, can't you, Mick? The ILGWU was absorbed into another union, wasn't it? The song is too good to be lost - is it still being used? -Joe Offer- |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Union Label From: Friend of Thosp Date: 24 Sep 99 - 12:32 AM Thanks, Joe. You are absolutely right. The song *is* too good to be lost. It was a real-life childhood introduction to what unionism was/is about for many baby-boomers in non-union families - and remembered fondly, if vaguely. |
