This is rather odd:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWONTUli-hc

It works in its way because the piece has a wide variety of pace and mood. Not sure what traditional music it would work with. Maybe a Scott Skinner slow air?

Makes you think about what the details of melodies express, and how to communicate that. In this case by nonverbal commentary.

Hi Max. I seem to be seeing youtube windows in this thread. Should I up the medication again???
Or have you added a new feature?

Nope, just magic.

Or perhaps that because the server sits at my feet every night, I may be able to do a few things that no one else can. Vic called me greedy last time I did it. I suppose this could just be me daring him say it again.

The only new feature we're installing 'round here now is a little something called Civility 2.0. Very tricky business.

Does that stunt add a significant load or additional management hassles onto Mudcat? Seems like most of it happens in the reader's browser.

I guess it would be possible for people to make threads unreadable by adding too many graphic, audio or video whizzbangs.

I think I'll just keep taking the medicine - just to be sure...

Quack!

No real detriment to mudcat, just a very modest line of embed code (minus the asterisks)

  <*iframe* width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/QWONTUli-hc?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen><*/iframe*>

But you figured out the rub. For some, one is too many.

Once HTML5 eradicates Flash from this earthly plane, much much more will be possible.

That first guy is hilarious. What an expressive face!

Morgan and I both do kinda the same thing as you, Max. Hard for us to sit still when we hear a good song! I "air conduct" sometimes when a fav. classical piece is on, esp. Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D Major. Know it, note for note, and don't miss a beat. I love it!
