In the time-honoured Mudcat spirit of unashamed modest publicity, I'd like to draw the attention of anyone within decent reach of West or South Yorkshire to two gigs I'm doing this coming weekend.
Saturday 30th July - a half-hour song-set, supporting the excellent Newcastle duo ItsAcoustica and local hero Russ Hughes. I'll also be compering the gig. Venue: St Paul's Church Hall, Cleckheaton. Start: 7.45 pm. Tickets £4. Details at www.itsacoustica.com
Sunday 31st July - a half-hour set at the Acoustic Rotherham 12 showcase. This will be a bit special, since it's likely also to include some duet performances with fabulous Sheffield-based singer Tina McKevitt (who's appearing on the bill of this event in her own right).
