Subject: Broadstairs Folk Week singaround
From: Mumma Murfitt
Date: 01 Aug 11 - 01:03 PM

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can help?
I'm new to the folk scene and would like to get acquainted with some of the songs. I've been told that I should go to a singaround and I thought as I'm in Broadstairs on holiday for Folk Week that maybe I could find one.

So that's my question, does anyone know if any are happening and if so where?

Many thanks in advance

Catriona x

Oh, yes. Oh, yes. BB & I run the singaround every evening in the sailing club - please introduce yourself. There are also song sessions in the Neptune every lunchtime - get yourself a programme, it will reveal everything!
Tom

Thank you for your reply Tom,

Good idea about the programme and hopefully I'll get to meet you :)

Is there now nothing in the Wrotham Arms and/or the Prince Albert? I had been wondering whether it was viable to day trip or night trip during next week but that is looking a bit forlorn on the above information.

I think Wrotham Arms is going strong, Richard - I'll try to find time to look at the programme and post before we leave Devon and head for the less civilised South East - it just wouldn't be Broadstairs without you!

It is, Woodshed sessions.....every day I think. Mainly participative but with guests doing slots as part of the fun...... including the Mrs.
