Suzanne Thomas [Edmundson when she was a member of Hot Mud Family] was a vocalist/guitarist with DBFS. On her solo album 'Dear Friends & Gentle Hearts' [Rounder CD 0423, 1998], Thomason plays mandolin on 'Faded Coat of Blue', 'Dear Friends & Gentle Hearts' and 'I have no mother now', lead guitar on 'Just a few more days' and lead vocal/mandolin on 'We must have been out of our minds'. Thomason also wrote the introductory piece about Suzanne for the album.

The search facility at CD Baby is IMO useless - I have no idea why it brings up the items displayed. Sometimes it is a quote about
the group by Thomason, sometimes there is nothing that I can find
relating to Thomason. Rarely, and indication that he guested with
the group, but no indication of which track(s).

There have been a few posts in Mudcat about DBFS in the past. I hoped there would be some who know of and have records on which
Ron Thomason appears and would be willing to share that information.

The DBFS site has very little information about the early Thomason
recordings (pre Rounder), or his work with non-DBFS projects.
As my original post indicates, I have all the early albums (Kanawha,
RITE, RT, GORDO).

SO - if you know of any NON-DBFS recordings where Ron Thomason participated, please send details. THANK YOU!

Best wishes, Thomas.

Also, a google of

Ron Thomason discography brings up a page at CD baby with near a dozen CDs on it.

Thomas: have you tried a google of

Dry Branch Fire Squad - Home

They have a 'store' on the first page that you might check out and see if any stuff on Rounder is stuff you don't have. You may also be able to reach the group members through the site.
