Hi

just wondering if anyone knows the name of the theme tune used for James Martin's cookery programs, {BBC I think,) where he goes round France cooking outside a caravan.

Its a pretty little accordion piece

It is on the Good Food Channel found quite a lot about it but nothing on the theme sorry

you can hear a very small part of it at the begining of the recipe havent been able to find a longer bit yet

Still having difficulty trying to find out what this very shory piece of mucic is? It normally gets played once James Martin has completed making his food on one of the few segments in the episode?

It sounds to me like a short riff that could be played on a piccolo, directly underneath playing are violin strings?

I think it is “Bon Vacance” by Keith Beauvais. It is described as being of the “gypsy jazz” genre.
Google “Bon Vacance tune” and you’ll find it on YouTube, SoundCloud and other sites.
