Subject: Singing around Tralee/Kerry? From: Megan M Date: 07 Aug 11 - 04:48 PM I just moved out to Tralee from NYC, and I'm looking for a place to go singing -- from my last stint in Ireland, I know of two weekly singers' circles up in Cork, but it's a bit far for a regular trip. Anyone have a lead? |

I remember seeing a band called Glenfolk there. The pub had a lock in, and was oppositea taxi firm who would happily stay open until the pub let you out at (around 1a.m.) . I think it was called Kellys. |

From: Megan M Date: 19 Sep 11 - 06:45 PM So my new musical home is Joe's Place, on Pembroke St. in Tralee -- every Wednesday night they have a really laid-back singing-and-playing session. It wasn't easy to find, either; most of the pubs with "sessions" meant they had unplugged trad concerts. Was I spoiled by living in Cork? |
