Subject: Wareham Wail 2011
From: Morticia
Date: 09 Aug 11 - 12:31 PM

This year's (Wareham) Wail is on September 2nd - 4th (the weekend after the
Bank Holiday) in Verwood.

The Wail has been described as "the Middle Bar on tour" and there is plenty of
laughing, drinking and superb singing. The high point of the weekend for many
is the Mediaeval Banquet on the Saturday evening, which has inspired an
amazing number of songs about pork! You can view some of the songs in the
'Gallery' section of the website: http://www.wail.org.uk/

Tickets are available through the website and are only £20 if you book before
August 21st. A meal ticket for the entire weekend costs £14 extra. See the
website for full details.

Go on, you know you want to.......

Don't suppose I can get in free after the year I paid and then came and did set up a few years back? No? Ah well.

When might be a good time to pop round with some money?

Alex

We always prefer people to book up front if possible as that helps with the costs of food and beer etc. but of course anyone who can't, such as yourself Terry, will still be very welcome.

Rob and I will get there Friday, and we'll be camping. Still trying to get the stuff sorted out, since I left a lot of my camping gear behind when I moved over from Oz. Latest puzzle was what gas to get for my stove and lamp, because like almost everything else I've discovered, you Brits do things differently from the Aussies. Nothing fits. Well we have a tent and an airbed, so that's a good start. We bought meal tickets, so that's most of the food sorted anyway.

Sorry to hear you won't be there, Carole and Andrew. I don't like it when some of my favourite people are missing :(

Looking forward to seeing lots of favourite people there- including you Jenny and generous concertina-sharing Rob (that was fun at Sidmouth!)

Trying to work out who Mrs Wickham night be... do I know anyone called Lydia?

Oh, was that her/his fate? We would have been quite happy to take piggy home and try to make something useful like brawn out of some of the bits. Oh well....

...that young pig of mine, it's her roasting time,
And we'll turn the pig around.
