I said its days were numbered and I have just drawn the series to a close. It was a modest success in terms of reader interest, which is much as I'd expected, but I must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed trawling through the YouTube archives for the clips that would make it work, sometimes - David Campbell, Simon Mayor and Hilary James, the Doonans and many more - unearthing little-viewed gems.

Thanks to those at Mudcat who advised, recommended or just took an interest ... I will probably continue with a Song of the Week of Month to ensure inclusion of the ones that got away.
