Matthew Ord @ The Goose Is Out!
Friday 9th September. Upstairs at The Mag . The Mag 211 Lordship Lane, East Dulwich. London SE22 8HA.

Doors 7.45pm . Live music from 8pm. £6 / £5 floorspots.

There are not many people on the folk scene who can make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck with their singing, and Matthew is one of them. His versions of traditional songs are just absolutely stunning. Matthew has now played a the Goose a few times, this will be his second headline gig at the Mag.

"A really good player with a real feel for the blues" - Otis Grand.

"Resurrecting the spirit of Robert Johnson and with the feel of 60's acoustic pioneers like John Fahey, Matthew Ord is that rare phenomenon - a young guitarist working a compelling mix of country blues and acoustic traditions, with verve, panache and total belief - a young man who's taking the blues back where it belongs." - Pete Feenstra
