Subject: Buddy Mondlock -Twickenham tonight (8pm) From: GUEST Date: 11 Sep 11 - 06:26 AM Cabbage Patch Pub, London Rd, Twickenham, Middlesex, TW1 3SZ + floor singers All welcome! Tickets from WeGotTickets.com or £9 cash on the door. www.TwickFolk.co.uk here's the blurb Buddy writes songs. In fact he does it so well that some great songwriters have recorded his songs on their own albums. Guy Clark, Nanci Griffith and Janis Ian, to name just a few. But there's nothing like hearing the guy who wrote 'em sing 'em. He's not going to pin your ears back with those songs. He's going to draw you into his world. Where a single snowflake follows the trajectory of a relationship, where you get your pocket picked by a Roman cat, where morning tumbles into noon and where dreams that don't come true still count. And it can all be happening in a little folk club or on a stage by a grassy hill or in someone's living room or in the Royal Albert Hall (where he appeared with Art Garfunkel) |
Subject: RE: Buddy Mondlock -Twickenham tonight (8pm) From: evansakes Date: 11 Sep 11 - 06:36 AM That was from 'Twickfolk' (surprise surprise) If folks don't know Buddy's music he comes highly recommended. Songs like Coming Down In The Rain', 'Poetic Justice', 'No Choice', 'Heavy Coat' and 'Magnolia Street' are well worth getting to know. Here's a couple of songs from the project with Art Garfunkel and Maia Sharp. Perfect Moment The Thread |
