Subject: Cannot wait to meet you all From: annamill Date: 27 Sep 99 - 08:45 PM Hello all my friends, I just spent the last hour in bbc's resources looking at you all. I wonder how many of you I'll meet? I am sooo looking forward to this gathering in Washington. I'm going to design a Mudcat autograph book and bring it with me for all of you to sign and write something bright and witty. **BG** ;-) I can't wait to hear and see you all play and sing. Glenn was going to bring his tamborine (he is a very good drummer) until I told him about the tamborine and voices thread. I didn't know he was planning to bring it when I mentioned it to him. My poor darling is so supportive of my love for Folk, even though his heart belongs to Rock. Honey and I will be down there early Saturday morning and we'll being wearing our Mudcat shirts. For the first day anyway. We'll be staying at a cabin and I hope at least some of the Mudcatters will be there. After the first night though, they may throw me out. I snore like a truck driver. Not always, just sometimes. Ok, I'm not perfect. Cannot wait to see all of you that are coming. Love, annap |

Subject: RE: BS: Cannot wait to meet you all From: Bill D Date: 27 Sep 99 - 10:21 PM ahhh...annap..didn't you read the fine print?..*grin*..snorers sleep down by the lake behind a styrofoam sound barrier, and there is a guard to make sure they don't sneak up in the middle of the night...then if...*giggle*...never mind, what we REALLY do is offer ear plugs to those who 'think' they don't snore... |

Subject: RE: BS: Cannot wait to meet you all From: bbelle Date: 27 Sep 99 - 11:09 PM annap ... I said earlier that most people as they age (remember i'm 51) snore ... it's a physiological fact of life. So, I travel with Breathe Right Strips ... THEY ARE WONDERFUL. And, if I'm driving, I always travel with a fan ... the white noise helps me sleep and it drowns out any (well, most any) noise. I'm not figuring on getting too much sleep, though. I like the thought of an autograph book and may do the same myself. I sent bbc my pic last week to include in the album so people would sort of recognize me. I getting excited and look forward to spending some time with you ... moonchild |

Subject: RE: BS: Cannot wait to meet you all From: Helen Date: 28 Sep 99 - 01:16 AM Hi all, I'll confess - I snore - not just like the truck driver but like the truck itself. It's nice to know I'm not alone - except when I sleep of course - then everyone wants to leave me alone. But you don't need to quarantine me behind styrofoam barriers because I won't be in Washington. Oh well, I echo WW's request - photos, please. Helen |

Subject: RE: BS: Cannot wait to meet you all From: Charlie Baum Date: 28 Sep 99 - 08:33 PM Margarita-- I've been told a story that when the citizens of the Northwest wanted to form a state, they proposed to the United States government to name it after their big river--the State of Columbia. The federal folks in Washington, D.C. responded, "No. We've already got a District of Columbia. Having both a District of Columbia and a State of Columbia would be too confusing." So the folks in the Northwest said, "Okay, call our state 'Washington'." Can anyone corroborate this tale? --Charlie Baum |
