Last year when I submitted a song for copyright it took six months to get my certificate. This year, less than two. Something in government is working right.

Perhaps so, but the new patent and trademark law is a disaster for anyone who wishes to thoroughly research an idea prior to filing. it also significantly cuts into the budget uf the USPTO.
