Have just recieved a copy of Elbow Janes new album Boldest Blood. The fourth by the boys from the Wirral, another fantastic job (imo)by a band that should have more reconnition. If you have not seen them look out for them they are brilliant live.

I'll second that!!!
They were fantastic at Saltburn Festival last month.
Hope to catch up with them again at Carlisle Folk and Blues on 14 October.

Sorry I can't get the hang of the blue clicky thing!
This gives a couple of alternate "reviews".
As the saying goes....You pays your money....

Elbow Jane ? Gregson lane Folk Club 18th June 2009
"As a club organiser ? I can thoroughly recommend Elbow Jane ? Totally professional approach ? Extremely good at what they do ? Fabulous sound quality - One hundred percent crowd pleasers and - Really nice people".

Graham Dixon

Folk On The Moor ? 24th May 2009
Make no bones about it, these five lads gave us an unforgettable evening of music that was beyond brilliant. They have a wonderful understanding of each other, are fine musicians, truly gifted songwriters... and they're such good blokes! I've been promoting clubs for over 35 years... these guys make it into my all time top five for live bands... no make that top three!

Hi all,
I'm sound engineer for Elbow Jane, and I can inform you all that they are doing a fantastic job which is earning them some real recognition.

We have just played the Carlisle Folk and blues club which has played host pretty much every famous folk act in the country and I have just had a wonderful email from the organisers commenting on how professional and talented they are. In fact, the word they used was 'captivating'.

So please take the Edinburgh review with a pinch of salt as it was obviously one persons opinion.

Thanks
