Where have you looked so far, SVG? I ask because searches of this kind take time and anything you could do to narrow it down would be much appreciated.

I've looked basically on the web, visiting Patriotic songs of SVG(as well as Jamaican folk songs and Trini ones), I'm not sure if the song originates from St. Vincent but it's an old folk song that I use to sing when I was younger. I'm pretty sure there's a book with a lot of folk songs that some teacher's here may use but I'm unavailable to gain access to one to check it's contents.

Apparently, "Moon does run till daylight does catch up with him..." is a common phrase in the English-speaking Caribbean.
