Subject: Old silvertone from 60's From: olddude Date: 27 Sep 11 - 08:48 PM bought an old Silvertone acoustic guitar from the 60's in a yard sale. Neck was all messed up. Well since I know nothing about neck resets I drilled it put a rod in and glued the crap outta it. ya know it sound pretty good and is holding up for over a month now so maybe its ok. It will make some kid a good guitar as I tend to give these away when I know some kid wants to learn. Heck I think I even got the math right as no buzzing all the way down ... The wood looks cedar to me but not quite, did they make a blond Mahogany? Who made these guitars anyway .. I know sears sold them but anyone know who the real maker was? |
