Has any of you done a recording of Tennyson's Crossing the Bar? Do you have a downloadable version on line somewhere? If not your own recording, do you know of anyone's version you would recommend? I'm looking for a recording I can listen to & learn today to perform tomorrow. I have no objections for paying for the down load, and would certainly give credit to whom ever's version I steal. I'v been asked to sing this at a memorial service tomorrow. I know the poem but am looking for a tune, or Air.

Just found a brilliant recording by Jeff Warner on ITunes. This internet thing sure is convenient. Thank you to anyone who may be looking right now.

Willow Harmony do a lovely version of Sarah Morgan's arrangement on you tube; just type the name of the group in

And the Willow Harmony recording is of the Craig, Morgan and Robson arrangement of Rani Arbo's tune and Tennyson's words... just to get everything in.

Just a footnote: The original sandbar that inspired Tennyson to write this wonderful poem is at the river mouth at Salcombe in Devon - still there and still treacherous for those who don't know the currents.

Jeri; Am I to understand from your post that Rani Arbo wrote the tune she sings for this?

Marc, yes. It's the same tune Jeff and Barbara sing.
