Bugger. Can't access the Facebook from work, but will check it when I get home. After the culling of Folkwaves, this is all we need.

It comes as no surprise to me... fortunately, we have a safe haven in community radio!!

Ali O'Brien's 'Sounds of Folk' has its tenth anniversary in May 2012, but more than half that time has been on Oldham Community Radio 99.7fm, and we find it a much friendlier place to be!

Just like the Beeb, we can be accessed online, but unlike the Beeb, our 'Listen Again' goes back a few months, not a week...

I do very much hope that EFDSS, and individuals, will be making very robust and forthright contributions to the public consultations!

Follows the shutting down of many other folk programmes on local radio.

Try here for Sheffield Live's programme.
This week's show has a some memories of Bert Jansch in the first half and an interview with Ian Stephenson (Kan, Baltic Crossing, 422) in the second half.

Past programmes at the same link.
