Okay, ya' gotta start somewhere so I got an invite to compete in the Charlotte Blues Society's "Blues Challenge"... I go on at 2:45... If I come in first then I can represent the CBS at the IBC (International Blues Challenge) in Memphis next February... Not too sure if I want to do that as I've been to it and it's expensive and cold...

First things first...

Anyone in the area, come on down... The Double Door is the closest thing to a real juke joint as you'll find in NC...

Hey, sorry we can't make it. We were in Memphis last Feb for the Folk Alliance, and the weather was 60's, if you go check out Alcenia's. http://alcenias.com/ just down the street from the Marriott.

Great food, great art (I mean the whole restaurant is a piece of art),
and Alcenia gave gave us a kiss on the check when we sat down.

It's a soul food restaurant with love all over it.

Oh, geeze... Break a string is always my greatest fear... Ya' see, unlike other folks, I love the sound of old strings... They are less bright and with lotta slide guitar that's not good... I like 'um old... The older the better... The strings on one of the 2 geetars I'll be usin' tomorrow are over a year old...

Still haven't hammered out the exact set... I'll work on it tonight...
