Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Rag Mama From: Stewie Date: 29 Sep 99 - 09:22 PM If you want the Tom Rush reference, it was originally on 'Blues Songs and Ballads' (Prestige 7374). It has been reissued on a CD of the same title that also contains the LP 'Got a Mind to Ramble'. The CD is on the UK label Big Beat - CDWIK 948. Great value! The song is also on the recent reissue by Vanguard, Jim Kweskin and The Jug Band 'Acoustic Swing & Jug' - Vanguard 79521-2. This is far superior in sound quality to an earlier CD of Kweskin's music issued by Vanguard as 'Greatest Hits' and covering much the same ground. Regards, Stewie. |
