My thoughts too, so when I saw Bob Fox at our local folk club just over a year ago, I complimented him on his playing and learning it so quickly (took me years too!) "Ah" says he, "I only know that one tune - just learned that one - can't play anything else"! What a professional! I saw the show a few years previously when Bob was Songman: best piece of theatre I have ever seen. had to resist the temptation to join in with the songs, all of which I knew, being surrounded by various unknown people who might not have appreciated that! |

It took me about twenty years of practising guitar to be confident of performing in public. I've been in London for the past couple of weeks since rehearsals started for a cast change on 16th November so I've had no time to make any kind of official announcement. I was very sad and sorry to have to cancel around 35 gigs to accommodate me being in War Horse but it's an opportunity that I can't turn down for all of the obvious (and some not so obvious) reasons. Last I heard was that he'd been asked to audition, so I wonder if that's still the case, and the story has simply grown with the retelling?
