Subject: Anyone know how to contact Peter Gabriel From: Lizzie Cornish 1 Date: 16 Oct 11 - 09:31 AM I'm wondering if anyone knows how I can do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Subject: RE: Anyone know how to contact Peter Gabriel From: BTNG Date: 16 Oct 11 - 12:14 PM Lizzie, here you go, least some of us has a decent word to say Peter Gabriel Ltd., Box Mill, Mill Lane Wiltshire, United Kingdom, SN13 8PL some one do something in your cornflakes this morning Leadfingers, or are you always so miserable? |
Subject: RE: Anyone know how to contact Peter Gabriel From: Lizzie Cornish 1 Date: 16 Oct 11 - 12:15 PM Yes, I have *heard* of it, thank you. Thank you for the link too, but...but...I was actually hoping for a more personal form of contact. That's why I asked on here, in case anyone knew him, via WOMAD or elsewhere on the music scene. |

Subject: RE: Anyone know how to contact Peter Gabriel From: Lizzie Cornish 1 Date: 16 Oct 11 - 12:17 PM I want to ask him if he'll put on a gig in the USA for Leonard Peltier...to raise massive awareness so that President Obama may finally decide to set him free. |
Subject: RE: Anyone know how to contact Peter Gabriel From: Arthur_itus Date: 16 Oct 11 - 03:00 PM How much money have you got Lizzie? |
Subject: RE: Anyone know how to contact Peter Gabriel From: Ross Campbell Date: 16 Oct 11 - 07:43 PM Seems like a very roundabout way of getting somebody's attention. You could try the direct approach:- http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact |
Subject: RE: Anyone know how to contact Peter Gabriel From: BTNG Date: 16 Oct 11 - 07:54 PM Arthur_itus if you have nothing constructive to offer....well you know that saying, tis better to be silent be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and have it confirmed. Bullied at school were you, Arthur_itus ? Oh and Ross...haven't forgotten you....that's been tried, a fair number of times I think...the resultant response, the silence and/or the bullshit is deafening....different approaches to the same problem are always welcome, it shows gumption, shows imagination if you will..... know what I mean...? |
Subject: RE: Anyone know how to contact Peter Gabriel From: Arthur_itus Date: 17 Oct 11 - 01:39 AM BTNG That is constructive. Plus I am not bullying. What is wrong with some of you guys. I simply asked a question to Lizzie. |
Subject: RE: Anyone know how to contact Peter Gabriel From: Arthur_itus Date: 17 Oct 11 - 01:41 AM Maybe I should have put a :-) behind it. |
Subject: RE: Anyone know how to contact Peter Gabriel From: Arthur_itus Date: 17 Oct 11 - 01:44 AM BTNG Why are you being so attacking to members. First Leadfingers who is a very nice person and then myself. What is wrong with you. It sounds like you are the one that got out of the wrong side of the bed. Just cool it will you. |
Subject: RE: Anyone know how to contact Peter Gabriel From: Arthur_itus Date: 17 Oct 11 - 01:48 AM In actual fact, if you had taken the time to look at Leadfingers Link, you would have seen that he was being helpful. |
Subject: RE: Anyone know how to contact Peter Gabriel From: banksie Date: 17 Oct 11 - 02:45 AM I would just observe that, no matter how worthy Lizzie's idea, in practice putting on a fund raiser event - especially one featuring Peter Gabriel who is currently performing with a full orchestra, backing singers etc - will be damned expensive. I've done this sort of thing on a very small, local scale - and the Village Hall still wants its money, the pub providing the bar will still want a minimum payment (that will only get waived if the bar takings are bigger). Peter G may waive his own fee, but would the rest of the orchestra, the backing singers, the tour management team, the transport ccompanies, the airlines etc involved in setting up and producing such an event? That's a very big ask. Would Peter G do a solo performance, or a one-off small band performance? Again, I'd tend to think it is a big ask, but it is well worth the asking. I certainly think Lizzie should ask it. |
Subject: RE: Anyone know how to contact Peter Gabriel From: Arthur_itus Date: 17 Oct 11 - 03:22 AM And Banksie, the reason for my question. You are so right. |
Subject: RE: Anyone know how to contact Peter Gabriel From: Arthur_itus Date: 17 Oct 11 - 04:38 AM Personally. I would have thought that PG would have somebody else (agent)dealing with such requests. He surely has enough to do, as it is. |
