You can hear a recording of the McNulty Family singing FAR AWAY IN AUSTRALIA at The Internet Archive; it is item #18 on the menu on that page. The recording is apparently from Decca (USA) 12256 made 11-Jun-1942.

The British Library and the State Library of Queensland have sheet music described thus:

Bobby..I'm impressed.. Thank you very much.. My friend and I are discussing the possibility of putting together a celtic band that does all the good stuff, and those were two songs taht we were kind of.. uhmm. well.. I know them, but we couldn't find the lyrics for them.. So thank you.. You're our hero! :)

The words to "DONEGAL DANNY" are:

Okay.. I am looking for two songs actually, either lyrics or else some idea of where on the web I coulc possibly find them,

a.) Far Away in Australia "Far Away in Australia, soon will faith be kind, and I will be ready to welcome the lass, the girl I left behind."

or

b.) Donegal Danny -- I don't know the lyrics at all for this one, I'm looking for a friend who is currently up to his armpits in finals--
