Subject: Joanne Crabtree & Paul Mills From: Beer Date: 02 Nov 11 - 10:00 AM If Joanne and Paul are in your area please take the time and catch their show. They are based in Toronto but do tour a bit. I was at a house concert last Sunday in Montreal and it was well worth the hour drive back and forth. Their harmonizing is wonderful and Joanne sure can write them. Here is a taste of their music. http://youtu.be/hyX3NhDoWN4 Adrien |

Subject: RE: Joanne Crabtree & Paul Mills From: balladeer Date: 04 Feb 12 - 10:33 PM I wish the Mudcat would notify me when my name shows up ... yes, I know, Facebook has ruined me! ... Adrien, I just came across this tiny thread in a Google search ... Thanks for starting it ... and let me say once again that was a perfect day in Montreal at Sarah's house ... Besides the fun of doing a concert there with Paul, it was lovely to spend 24 hours being pampered by Sarah and Erick, young friends of mine that I totally adore ... We've been trying to arrange a Quebec visit for ages ... I had been so looking forward to meeting you in the real world, Adrien, and it turns out you are just as warm and friendly in person as you are in your emails ... and gosh, to meet Bruce Murdoch face-to-face after being cyber friends for quite a while ... wow ... what a weekend we had. ... Bill Garrett came (he and Paul were a duo for twenty years) and I got to hear them play together for the first time in ages ... (The first time I ever heard Paul play, he was making magic with Bill in a TO coffee house) ... |

Subject: RE: Joanne Crabtree & Paul Mills From: Beer Date: 04 Feb 12 - 11:11 PM Thank you for the kind remarks. They come at a good time. It was my first time meeting Joanne and Paul. What great people. I have them tentatively booked come June at our coffee house. I'm hoping to get them some other gig to make it worth the 5/6 hour drive. Maybe you could drop by as well. Adrien |
Subject: RE: Joanne Crabtree & Paul Mills From: Beer Date: 05 Feb 12 - 10:47 PM Just found out that "balladeer" is Joanne. How dumb of me. I should have known. Please say hello to Paul for me and if you see Brent Titcomb, tell him I've been playing his first album over and over. Adrien |
Subject: RE: Joanne Crabtree & Paul Mills From: balladeer Date: 05 Feb 12 - 10:54 PM Hey Beer. It's understandable. I should have signed my real-world name the way you do. ... Joanne ... PS. I'm so glad to see Brent is in the public eye quite a lot these days. |
