This morning on National Public Radio they ran an excellent story about vocal cord health and how singers are the equivalent of Olympic athletes with their voices.

The Surgery That Saves Silenced Singers included an interview with Dr. Z.

Didn't Kendall post recently that he was interviewed for this? Didn't make the final editing cut?

Kendall was interviewed, but I think it was for a newspaper, not NPR.

This is a different story, but every time they run one of these stories I hope someone who funds the kind of studies Dr. Z does hears it and offers funding!

Yes, Kendall was interviewed for the Boston Globe about the gel that Dr Z is hoping to start in human trials, hopefully next year if he gets all the funding he needs.

I'm glad to see the throat and voice threads all linked - (they may have been for a while, but I just noticed after I started this thread). Of course the information here should in no way should be construed as medical advice, but it offers a lot of symptoms and keywords for anyone searching for a remedy for their own problem.
