I'm reluctant to bump this back up to the top and draw attention to my own inadequacies, but ...

Thanks, treewind. That'll be it. Certainly sounds like it.

There's just been some global routing problems with Level 3 who are a major internet routing and connectivity provider. Many connections between UK and USA are/were broken, and many sites completely off the air.

It seems to be back now. (I can now reach opendns.com, half an hour ago I couldn't. 4pm UK time)

Scrub that. I'm talking rubbish. As usual.

Turns outo ne of the sites I couldn't get was ".co.uk" as well. And it's come back now. Obviously just an intermittent thing.

Been having some problems with my wireless router lately, but I've found that unplugging it when I'm not using it and then plugging back in seems to help. But I've just got a new odd problem - some sites are opening, some I get a message saying the server's not responding.

I'm in the UK, and I've just noticed that sites that end in ".co.uk" I can get; ones that end ".com" I can't. Mudcat seems to be ok because it's ".org" and I can get those - but not ".net". Weird. Any ideas?
