Thank you, Jean! I'd not found that one. It's already gone on the FB of The White House...just off to put it on my page too now.

And...thank you for caring too, Jean. xx

Stolen Lands

In the information for this video there is a link to the documentary "Incident at Oglala" which was produced and narrated by Robert Redford. I have copied the video information and will paste below:

This album is an incredible compilation of music, no matter what your politics. This song is done live and is just accompanied with drums. Many of the photos I have used are of the survivors of Wounded Knee and Pine Ridge taken within months of the massacres. I could not use many of the research photos I found. They are too disturbing.

This song is so dynamic that it pulls you into the story, whether you like it or not. That is the mark of good music. You become involved...one way or another. The album, "In the Spirit of Crazy Horse, Songs for Leonard Peltier" is still available if you search small specialty shops. I hope you check it out!

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE ROBERT REDFORD'S DOCUMENTARY, "Incident at Oglala" you will find it at the link I have added below. You will also find information on Peltier and his defense fund.

"This is a video about the 1973 siege at wounded knee, and how our new president can help.... Those words are taken from the video information. In 2009 President Obama pledged to redeem broken promises made to American Indians.

"Oh it's written in books and in song That we've been mistreated and wronged" and I believe that Leonard Peltier has been mistreated and wronged.

Just in case anyone else would like to change their Facebook photo to this:

Leonard Peltier/Nelson Mandela photo

I've changed mind, because, after 36 years of wrongful imprisonment, it is time the whole darn world stood up, stood right beside this man, stood up to the terrible injustice he has endured with such dignity and great Spirit.
