Subject: Banjo Joe's (Gus Cannon) style From: GUEST,5-String-Jackson Date: 11 Nov 11 - 07:39 AM Hey everyone! I was listening to Banjo Joe's (Gus Cannon) recording of My Money Never Runs Out on the Good For What Ails You comp. I could be totally wrong, but it sounds like he's playing the banjo with a flat-picking style on this. Was he known to do this? Typically, how did he commonly play? I mean what technique did he generally use? I would really love to know. I really like the sound he creates on this recording, and would like to try and replicate it. |
