Are there any Fiddlers in the West Yorkshire area interested in Old Time American, Appalachian music? I play five string banjo and would like to meet up with anyone with similar musical tastes.

Hi Bruce,

I'm also in West Yorks and I'm interested in playing old time and bluegrass.

I sing and play fiddle and banjo. It would be good to get together and play some old time tunes....I will send you a PM with more details!

Cheers
Maria

oops...I didn't realise that I can't send you a PM as your status is "guest" rather than "member".

Are you able to sign up fully (it only takes a minute from what I recall) or could you give me some other means of getting in touch with you? I don't really like giving too many personal details on the open forum.

Cheers, M

Well, I work and Bradford and from experience know you should have problems recruiting from there. They are all on the fiddle...

How about playing for an Appalachian dance side who currently have only a fiddle player. They met once a fortnight fairly close by
