The song that I would like to know about starts with:
Chorus:
Way hey rock and roll, way hey rock and roll
A Little bit of rhythm 'n' soul
Early in the morning.
Chorus:
You've landed on the beach again, you're orders are you're digging in
The rising sun's a beautiful thing
Early in the morning.
Chorus:
You stand to when the sun goes down, you're watching all the ground around
You stand tie watch it rise again,
Early in the morning.

and I was wondering if anybody had any information about it's history or origins? Frankly I loved it and would like to know more about it for an English essay I'm writing.
Many thanks.

You need to contact the RAF walking and road marching association for a song book and it will have full lyrics
