I'm going to be in London for 9 days starting next Tuesday (staying near Paddington/Edgware Road). I got an old copy of Folk London at Whitby and it looks like a very useful source for listings (more than appears on their website). But where can I find a paper copy in London? The website doesn't say who stocks it, only suggests subscribing - not an option.

You can certainly buy it at Hobgoblin in Rathbone Place W1...

You'd be welcome to join us at Twickfolk on Sunday 20th for Bruce Molsky. We also have copies of Folk London....

I was intending to go to the Greenwich trad music club on Tuesday night, but it looks like a call in to C# House during the day might be in order. Thanks.

Hi Jack,

Can you make it there early? Monday evening, there's the launch of the Mudcat CD-s This Is Us, at the Herga Folk Club.

BTW, would Folk Clubs - London be of any use to you?

Bye,
                                                                                                                                  Mysha

That's a very good listing - thanks!

Can't make the launch, I'm getting the train from Edinburgh on Monday night.

Here I am in London and I still haven't managed to buy one. Went specially to C# House and they'd sold out. Makes you wonder what the point of such a publication is, if its public visibility is so low.

Went to the Greenwich traditional music session on Tuesday night and found I could have been at a Swedish music session near Borough Market at the same time, but it seems to be listed nowhere. C'mon guys, at least tell Mr Google what you're doing.

I will probably be at the Greenwich session again next week, if any London Mudcatters want to say hello.

I will make sure I avoid Greenwich.

Something else I haven't seen listed anywhere which I went to last time I was down here - an old-time/bluegrass session hosted by, among others, Tom Paley, at a pub near Old Street on a Sunday night. I doubt if it was every Sunday night but who knows I might get lucky. Anybody know about that?
