Subject: Looking for lyrics for Gypsies in the From: vir40go Date: 02 Oct 99 - 10:24 AM I think the title was 'Gypsies in the Palace'. My mother use to listen to it all the time about 30 or 40 years ago. I don't know who the artist was, but I would like to find the artist and lyrics and if it might be available for purchase. The song was about these gypsies that came to a house while the owners were away and stayed and did all kinds of work there because they felt they they had found a palace. When they did all they could do they moved on. The people came home and found a note saying what had happened. I don't remember many details because it was so long ago. I would really like to find this for my mother if I could. If anyone could help I would appreciated it very much. |
Subject: Lyr Add: GYPSIES IN THE PALACE (Jimmy Buffett) From: katlaughing Date: 02 Oct 99 - 06:41 PM Welcome to the Mudcat. Apparently Jimmy Buffet and friends wrote a modernised version, which I found. I know it isn't the one you're looking for, but tought I'd include it anyway. I will check a couple of other sources, for the older one. Someone on here is bound to know. Check back and good luck! ...katlaughing
