Subject: Session at Frittenden - and a barn dance on Friday
From: GUEST,Gavin Atkin
Date: 24 Nov 11 - 05:03 PM

Those who fancy an evening out with their kids - come to a barn dance with party games at Horsmonden Village Hall from 8pm Friday the 25th November, tickets £6 and £4. Dance to the wonderful Horsmonden Traditional Music Class with caller Chris Rose.

We're also looking forward to another great night at the Bell & Jorrocks, Frittenden this Sunday (the 27th) starting at 8pm.

We're very lucky to have as guests the great singer Annie Dearman accompanied by mouthorgan and melodeon player Steve Harrison, both down from Yorkshire.

Annie's fans will be pleased to know that she will sing quite a few songs with Steve, but the format we follow at Frittenden will ensure plenty of time for the rest of us to play tunes, sing dance and tell stories - or anything else that's entertaining and legal that you might have to give us.

The Frittenden sessions take place at the Bell & Jorrocks pub at Frittenden, Kent, and start at 8pm and continue until it's time to sing Nellie Dean and say goodnight. They're informal and free, with lots of old fashioned and traditional songs and tunes, and a big emphasis on variety, humour and entertainment generally.

As we like to say, if you liked your pub the way it was before the telly and the computer came, this is the event for you.

We look forward to seeing you on the night!

Gavin and Julie Atkin
