Subject: 'Tivoli' recorded by Sam Pirt From: Skipjack K8 Date: 27 Nov 11 - 05:01 PM My piano accordion mentor and good friend, Sam Pirt, did us a great favour by recording a few tracks playing a 96 bass Black Diamond Accordion as a solo instrument to showcase the sound of the squeezebox. These instruments are made in China, and whilst that sometimes doesn't inspire confidence, these come from the old Parrot brand factory, but have had a major makeover and now have Italian hand-made reeds fitted as standard. I am bowled over by the sound quality of these boxes and decided to have professionally recorded sound samples on the website, so I asked Sam to lay down a few tracks, and the first of these, Tivoli, has just been rolled out on YouTube, with a link from Black Diamond Accordions' website. Thanks so much for stopping by and viewing the Youtube video, we've had an amazing response, 140 views in less than two days, with more than half of that figure coming from yesterday's Mudcat thread. We're busy diddling up the next one, should be up on Wednesday night, hopefully Out on the Ocean, with a suitably boaty backdrop. I'll post it on Mudcat when it's up. |
