My wife is flying into London tomorrow,Tuesday, on a 10-day trip, and is interested in taking part in a folk club/pub singing session. Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Thanks!

It is unfortunate this is so late and she has only one weekend

Encourage her to stay through the New Year.

Micca, thank you for the tip on the Sharp House singing session, which she might just go to. She'll have internet access throughout her trip, and so will be able to see any additions here that might be posted. No worries about short notice, as regular session dates are set, whether she found out about them three months ago or today. Wouldn't have made a difference on the timing of her trip. Leadfingers, thank you for your PM! She now has your number. Much appreciated.

Susan emailed me that she saw Kate Rusby's concert tonight, and, of course, it was fantastic, or, as you say on your side of the pond, it was brilliant! We're both big fans. Susan will be going to the Sharp House singing session on Tuesday. Me? I gotta hold down the fort here at home. Thanks again, folks!

There is a Lower Stoke Winter Sing, Sunday the 4th, noon to falling down, the Nag's Head Lower Stoke ME3 9RA - about 30 miles out of London, poor public transport links.

I expect there is a Stickie's Monday Club - er - on Monday - at the 7 Stars Foots Cray - South London, good public transport links, PM Girl Friday to check.

I also expect there is the British Oak, Blackheath, on Tuesday, but it's an open mic assuming it is on. http://blackheathfolk.com/

Is there a website that lists folkie (or even open mic) events in London? We have 2 in Bristol.
