Subject: Irish ballad for female singer From: GUEST,nualakernan Date: 28 Nov 11 - 04:32 PM Hi, for a competition I am doing I have to sing a ballad of irish origin (slow song). Although I am a soprano, I am really flexible in terms of my range. Any suggestions as to what I should sing? Thanks! |

There is a new 3 CD set out of Sarah Makem. CDs with Margaret Barry on seem to be quite readily available. Look for songs that are less well-known than Blackwaterside, Margaret Barry's The Half-Door perhaps? |
